Our entire Wildcat Family is excited for game week for Arizona Football. Coach Fisch and the Wildcats will open the season on Saturday afternoon at San Diego State with a marquee national television broadcast on CBS. There is a tremendous amount of energy around the program, and the start of the college football season is always an important time in Southern Arizona.
Â
San Diego is home to many Wildcats and one of our key alumni hubs. The San Diego BeachCats will help fill the stadium with red and blue on Saturday and proudly cheer on our student-athletes and coaches. We also have a terrific contingency of supporters traveling to San Diego as well, and I can't wait to see you all there.
Â
We have all been waiting for Saturday's 12:30 p.m. kickoff and for the Arizona Football season to officially begin. Let's Bear Down with pride, cheer on our Wildcats and enjoy the start of the college football season.Â

Sunday Soccer!
Arizona Soccer is back in action this week with a pair of matches, looking to keep it rolling after a hot start. The Wildcats take their undefeated record to GCU on Thursday, where we are excited to have two busses full of ZonaZoo members heading to Phoenix to cheer on the Cats.
Â
On Sunday, the Cats return home to host UAB at 10:30 a.m. in our International Match. We are excited to welcome freshman Angela Baron to her first match at Mulcahy Stadium after competing with Colombia in the U-20 World Cup this summer. Wear your international jersey to the match and receive a discounted ticket at the gate! Click here to purchase tickets to the match online.

Gameday Upgrades!
We're excited to roll out a few new gameday upgrades that will help take our in-game experience to the next level, and two of them are available for free on your phone within the Arizona Wildcats app.
Â
We have already rolled out Bear Down Games, a prediction-based competition with other fans where you can use your Arizona Football knowledge to compete to win prizes. We will have weekly winners and this game occurs when the team is at home and on the road, so download the Arizona Wildcats app, head to the menu on the top left, scroll down to Bear Down Games and get your picks in for the San Diego State game this Saturday!
Â
Arizona Lights is an in-venue light show that syncs your phone's flashlight to the music in the stadium. When prompted at various UA events this season, you will open the Arizona Wildcats app, head to the menu, select Arizona Lights and watch the magic happen!
Â
Get Your Tickets Now to the First Watch Red-Blue Game
Tickets to next month's Arizona Men's Basketball's First Watch Red-Blue went on sale over the weekend and they're going fast! Get your tickets now to see Coach Lloyd and the reigning Pac-12 champs in their first action in McKale since cutting down the nets on Senior Day last year!

Hot Start for Arizona Volleyball
First serve of the 2022 Arizona volleyball season was last week, when the Wildcats dominated the Cactus Classic, needing the minimum nine sets to sweep the three matches. The atmosphere in McKale was excellent last week and we are looking forward to an exciting year of Arizona Volleyball! The team is off to the east coast for a big road tournament this weekend, where it will face ACC opponents Wake Forest and North Carolina. Season tickets are still available at a pro-rated price, so join the Cats in McKale this season!

Hall of Fame Induction Set for Next Thursday
The Arizona Athletics Sports Hall of Fame Class of 2022 is set to be inducted next Thursday at a ceremony at La Paloma. As the highest honor given to the most successful Wildcats in our department's history, the Hall of Fame induction ceremony is one of my favorite events of the year.
Â
This year, we will be inducting Arizona football and track and field student-athlete Fred Batiste, legendary softball head coach Mike Candrea, swimmer Cory Chitwood, diver Ben Grado, softball player Brittany Lastrapes, athletics director Jim Livengood, swimmer Austen Thompson and track and field head coach Willie Williams.
Â
The event is set for Sept. 8 at La Paloma, and the group will be recognized at halftime of our football home opener vs. Mississippi State.
