TUCSON, Ariz. - No. 11 Men's Tennis (18-4 overall, 3-2 Big 12) is set for their final week at home, hosting Utah Thursday, April 3, at 2:00 p.m. MST and Brigham Young for their senior day on Saturday, April 5, at 1:00 p.m. MST at LaNelle Robson Tennis Center.
The Cats will be honoring seniors
Casper Christensen, Inaki Cabrera-Bello and
Colton Smith.
Arizona last faced former Pac-12 opponent Utah in April 2024, where the Cats won 4-0. Saturday's match will be the first meeting between Arizona and BYU since 2010, where the Cats won 5-2.
The Cats are coming off of a perfect weekend at home, with sweeps over conference opponents Oklahoma State and Texas Tech. On Tuesday, ITA released their new set of team and indivudal rankings where Arizona remained at No. 11 in the team poll. Arizona had three Wildcats in the singles poll, with Smith coming in at No. 4,
Jay Friend jumping four spots to be right behind him at No. 5, and
Zoran Ludoski at No. 92. Arizona has two ranked doubles teams, with Cabrera-Bello and Smith jumping from No. 64 to No. 29, and
Eric Padgham and Friend at No. 37.
Arizona currently stands at No. 3 in the Big 12 men's tennis standings, behind Texas Christian University (5-0) and Baylor (3-1).
