Incoming Freshman Whitney Reinhardt Named Gatorade Arizona Player of the Year

TUCSON, Ariz. — Incoming freshman Whitney Reinhardt has been named the 2024-25 Gatorade Arizona Girls Soccer Player of the Year, earning the state's top high school honor following a standout career at Notre Dame Preparatory in Scottsdale.

The prestigious Gatorade award, now in its 40th year, recognizes elite high school athletes for their athletic excellence, academic achievement, and exemplary character. Reinhardt, a 5-foot-4 midfielder, is set to join the Wildcats this fall.

She tallied 18 goals and 11 assists as a senior while leading Notre Dame Prep to the Open Division State Tournament quarterfinals. A four-time All-Region selection and the 2024 Conference 5A Player of the Year, Reinhardt helped guide her team to a state title and concluded her prep career with 46 goals and 23 assists.

Off the field, she served as a student ambassador and was actively involved in community initiatives, including Feed My Starving Children, youth soccer coaching, and church volunteer work. She also maintained a 3.72 weighted GPA.

Reinhardt joins Arizona as part of the 2025-26 incoming class under head coach Becca Moros as the Wildcats prepare for their 2025 campaign.
