TUCSON – Arizona Soccer has released its 2025 nonconference schedule, as announced by Head Coach Becca Moros on Tuesday.
The Wildcats' nonconference slate features five home contests and three matchups against 2024 NCAA Tournament participants (Stanford, California, and Pepperdine).
Arizona will play an exhibition match at Northern Arizona on Aug. 5 at 6:00 p.m. MST before officially opening the 2025 campaign at home on Aug. 14 against UNLV at 7:00 p.m. MST.
The Wildcats remain in Tucson to host UC Irvine on Aug. 17 at 10:30 a.m. MST before hitting the road for a pair of matchups: at New Mexico State on Aug. 21 and at 2024 College Cup semifinalist Stanford on Aug. 28. Three days later, they'll face another NCAA Tournament team in California on Aug. 31 at 1:00 p.m. MST.
Arizona returns to Mulcahy Stadium to begin September with a three-match homestand, welcoming Denver (Sept. 4), Pepperdine (Sept. 7), and Grand Canyon (Sept. 14). The home contest against Pepperdine marks the Wildcats' final nonconference game and third against a 2024 NCAA qualifier.
"Both our non-conference schedule and our Big 12 schedule are arguably more challenging than our schedule was last year. I believe our non-conference opponents are just the challenge we need to prepare ourselves for conference play... We've done a lot of work in the past year, and the players are eager to prove themselves," said Moros. "Rather than relying on a few to score all our goals, we have many players with the potential to produce... From a defensive standpoint, we are improved, deeper, and more experienced."
Arizona will open Big 12 play Sept. 25 at home against UCF and continue conference action through the month of October.
