2017-18: Had the second-fastest team time in the 100 free with 43.25, earning an NCAA B cut at Pac-12 Championships…Had the third-fastest time on the team in the 50 free with 19.89 (NCAA B cut)…Earned All-American Honorable Mention in the 400 free relay and 400 medley relay…Finished in the top-five twelve times this season in various events, including two runner-ups each in the 100 and 200 free…Earned an NCAA B cut in the 200 free with 1:36.06…
2016-17: Had the third-fastest time on the team in the 100y freestyle (43.46) and 200y freestyle (1:36.25) and fourth-fastest time in the 500y freestyle (4:23.72), all NCAA B cuts … At the Pac-12 Championships, finished 12th in the 100y freestyle (43.46), 13th in the 500y freestyle (4:23.72) and 17th in the 200y freestyle (1:36.25) … Placed first vs. Hawaii (10/8/16) in the 100y freestyle (45.97) … Earned a pair of victories in the 200y freestyle (10/8/16 vs. Hawaii; 10/22/16 at Utah).
2015-16: Had the second-fastest time on the team in the 100 free (43.95) and third-fastest in the 200 free (1:35.60)…Finished first in the 100 free (45.63) and third in the 200 free (1:39.36) against No. 18 USC…Was runner-up in the 200 free versus No. 1 Texas with 1:39.23…At the Pac-12 Championships, took fifth in the B final of the 200 free (1:36.02), and eighth in the B final of the 100 free (44.45) and 500 free (4:23.98)…Placed 17th in the 800 free relay at NCAA Championships...At the Texas Invitational, finished first in the 800 free relay for an NCAA ‘B’ cut and fourth in the 400 free relay.
High School: A four-time letterwinner at Avon High School…Was team captain and MVP…His junior and senior year, he made the Indiana All-State Team…Was a two-time All-American for Avon and two-time state champion in the 200 free…Won all of his dual meets his senior year and was the county, conference, sectional and state champion that year…Holds school records in the 50 free, 100 free, 200 free and 500 free…Team finished runner-up his junior year and third his senior year…Received an Academic Honors Diploma.
Personal: Born Parks Delbridge Jones in September of 1996 to Howard and Shagae Jones…Has a younger sister, Hallie…Planned major in Communications with a minor in Photography…Likes to play sports, listen to music, watch Netflix, do water sports and hang out with friends in his free time…Also played club lacrosse…Chose Arizona over Louisville and NC State because he has dreamed of coming to U of A since he was a freshman in high school.
