2017-18: Held the fourth-fastest 50 free team time with 19.91, earning an NCAA B cut…Also earned an NCAA B cut in the 100 fly and an NCAA A cut in the 200 medley relay, both at Pac-12 Championships…Won the 50 free against Utah and finished runner-up vs. USC… CSCAA Scholar All-American Honorable Mention.

2016-17: Earned honorable mention All-America status with four relays (200y freestyle, 400y freestyle, 200y medley and 400 medley) … Posted the ninth fastest 100y butterfly time in Arizona history (second fastest in 2016-17) at the Texas Invitational (46.25), good for an NCAA B cut and a third place finish … Swam the second fastest 50y freestyle on the team in 2016-17 at the Texas Invitational (19.66), good for an NCAA B cut and ninth place finish … Placed 11th in the 100y freestyle at the Texas Invitational with a time of 43.84, the fourth fastest time on the team for the year and an NCAA B cut … Earned an NCAA A cut as a member of the 200y freestyle relay (1:17.13) at the Texas Invitational … Earned an NCAA A cut as a member of UA’s 200y medley relay (1:23.34) at the Pac-12 Championships … Earned an NCAA A cut as a member of Arizona’s 400y medley relay team (3:06.58) … Earned an NCAA B cut as a member of the 400y freestyle relay (2:51.18) at the NCAA Championships … At the Pac-12 Championships (3/4/17), finished ninth in the 100y butterfly (46.49), 13th in the 50y freestyle (19.83) and 23rd in the 100y freestyle (44.69).

2015-16: Earned two relay titles at the Pac-12 Championships (200 free relay, 200 medley relay)…Individually at Pac-12s, finished fifth in the B final of the 50 free with 20.05 and first in the C final of the 100 free with 44.34…Earned two All-America honorable mention honors at NCAAs with top-16 finishes in the 200 free relay and 200 medley relay…Placed third in the 50 free against No. 1 Texas with 21.01…At the Texas Invitational, tied for seventh in the 50 free (20.02), took eighth in the 100 fly (47.81) and was a member of the winning 200 free relay team.

Prior to Arizona: Named First Team MVP for six years and team captain for one year…Represented Zimbabwe at the Youth African Games, Youth Olympics, AUSC Regional Games and South African National Age Group Gala…Was the top swimmer in his age group in South Africa in the 50 free (2013and 2014) and 50 fly (2014)…Has set a number of National Zimbabwe records, one included breaking a 20-year record…Holds school records in the 200 free, 100 free, 100 IM and 100 back…Received a silver medal in the 50 free at both the South African National Age Group Gala and Africa Youth Games…Made the semi-finals in the 50 free and 50 fly at the Youth Olympic Games…Was the top Zimbabwean swimmer at AUSC Regional Games, winning seven medals…Received an academic award at Saint Charles College and a top-20% ranking.   

Personal: Born Chad Edward Idensohn in July of 1996 to Harry and Laura Idensohn…Has an older sister, Chelsea…Planned major in Information Systems at Arizona…Also participated in rugby, water polo and triathlons in high school…Likes to fish, shoot and hang out with friends in his free time…Chose Arizona over Drury University because of swimming infrastructure and coaches in addition to the warm climate and strong academics.
