Biography
2017-18: Finished fifth in the 100 back against Utah (51.83)…Swam a personal-best 49.22 in the 100 back and 1:49.84 in the 200 IM at the Pac-12 Championships.
2016-17: Swam the 100y backstroke (four events), 200y backstroke (four events), 200y IM (three events) and 400y IM (one event) as a freshman … Swam the 200y backstroke in 1:46.82 while exhibitioning in the Pac-12 Championships, just missing the NCAA B cut … Had the seventh fastest 100y backstroke time on the team (49.25; 3/4/17; Pac-12 Championships) … Against Hawaii (10/8/16), finished fourth in the 200y backstroke (1:56.96), sixth in the 100y backstroke (52.16) and seventh in the 200 IM (2:02.54).
High School: A two-time letterwinner at Newport High School in the backstroke and IM…Named a USA Scholastic All-American…Earned a CISCO, CNCNA and CCNP Certification…Ranked the third recruit out of Washington by CollegeSwimming.com.
Personal: Born Aaron William Elhajj in January of 1998 in Seattle, Washington to Timothy Elhajj and Holly Huckeba…Has one brother, Tim and one sister, Kennedy…Undecided in his major…Likes to read, play video games and soccer in his free time…Chose Arizona over Cal Poly and Penn State because of the “amazing balance of academics and athletics”.
