CORVALLIS, Ore.– The Arizona women top Oregon State 152-103 on Saturday. The Cats won 12 of 14 events, including three sweeps.
Hannah Cox won three events while
Katrina Konopka won two.
The Wildcats opened up the meet with a win in the 400 medley relay.
Aria Bernal,
Mallory Korenwinder,
Mackenzie Rumrill, and Konopka notched 3:46.94 for first place.
Cox won the 1,000 free with 10:04.63. Not far behind her,
Ayumi Macias finished second with 10:09.79.
The women swept the 200 free with Cox (1:50.90),
Monica Gumina (1:50.92), and
Sarah Shimomura (1:53.73) finished on top, respectively.
Bernal won the 100 back with 56.41.
Daniela Georges won the 200 back with 2:03.11.
Korenwinder won the 100 breast with 1:05.13 and
Francesca Neubauer placed third with 1:06.41.
Rumrill won the 200 fly and
Mik Ranslem finished runner-up with 2:02.81 and 2:03.27, respectively.
Konopka (23.33),
Ashley Sutherland (23.62), Gumina (23.82), and
Alayna Connor (24.18) swept the 50 free, respectively.
Konopka with 51.05, Sutherland with 51.88, and Gumina with 51.94, also won the 100 free, in that order.
Neubauer won the 200 breast with 2:20.25 and Korenwinder finished third with 2:23.65.
Cox won the 500 free with 4:53.56 and Rumrill won the 100 fly with 55.21.
Up Next: The Arizona women will take on UCLA on November 2. Both men and women will compete against USC on November 3.
