LOS ANGELES, Calif. – The Trojans swept the Cats on Saturday morning, with the men losing 140-155 and the women 123-174.
Hannah Cox and
Delaney Schnell won two events each, while
Chatham Dobbs and
Sam Iida won one.
The men's 200 medley relay A team, consisting of
Thomas Anderson,
Matthew Salerno, Dobbs, and
Marin Ercegovic, finish runner-up with 1:30.10. The women's relay team (
Aria Bernal,
Mallory Korenwinder,
Mackenzie Rumrill, and Cox) also finished second, with 1:41.98.
Cox won the 1,000 free with 10:05.11. She is undefeated in the event so far this season.
Brooks Fail finished second for the men with 9:09.81.
Cox placed second in the 200 free with 1:50.87.
Jorge Iga finished runner-up for the men with 1:39.89.
Bernal finished second in the 100 back with 55.61. Dobbs placed second with 48.49.
Iida fnished runner-up in the 100 breast for the men with 55.70.
Schnell won the 3 meter with 335.70 total points. The sophomore also won the 1m, with 311.33.
Brendan Meyer won the 200 fly with 1:47.68.
Mathias Oh finished runner-up with 1:48.91.
Kayla Filipek finished runner-up in the 50 free with 23.43.
Katrina Konopka placed third with 23.52. Ercegovic finished third for the men with 20.79.
Konopka finished runner-up in the 100 free and
Kayla Filipek third with 51.56 and 51.91, respectively.
Noah Reid placed second in the men's 100 free 45.07 while Ercegovic finished third with 45.51.
Isaac Stump finished second in the 200 back with 1:48.93.
Brendan Meyer placed third with 1:52.23. For the women,
Daniela Georges placed third with 2:03.28.
Iida won the 200 breast with 1:59.07.
Cox, for her second win of the meet, won the 500 free with 4:51.19. For the men, Fail finished second (4:24.72) and
Jerad Kaskawal third (4:33.63).
Casey Ponton finished second in the 3 meter with 344.25.
Dobbs won the 100 fly for the men, with 48.35.
Mackenzie Rumrill finished third in the 100 fly with 55.19.
Fail placed second in the 400 IM with 3:56.78 and Iida third with 4:00.37. Stump finished just .12 behind him, with 4:00.49 for fourth place.
The women close out the meet with a win in the 200 free relay with 1:32.56. The men also notch a win, with 1:22.59.
