HOMECOMING WILDCATS
Homecoming 2019 was a tribute, remembrance and celebration for Wildcat alumni. We are thankful for the over 300 letterwinners who came back to Tucson to make this an incredible Homecoming weekend. From the Dick Tomey Football Practice Fields Dedication on Friday morning to the A-Club Tailgate and Football game on Saturday, the passion of our alumni and fans was great. We recognized our Emeritus letterwinners who participated in a sport before 1969 along with football honorees, and the 1979 Fiesta Bowl, 1989 Copper Bowl and 2009 Holiday Bowl teams.
We welcomed back the many Wildcats whose lives were touched by Coach Tomey as we dedicated the Dick Tomey Practice Fields on Friday. It was inspiring to hear so many Wildcat greats talk about what Coach Tomey meant to them during their playing days and well beyond. His impact on our football program, athletics department and community was truly immeasurable, and the Dick Tomey Practice Fields will serve as an everlasting reminder of this tremendous husband, father, coach and leader.
Coach Tomey's powerful legacy received another accolade this week
with the prestigious Amos Alonzo Stagg Award from the AFCA. The award is given to those "whose services have been outstanding in the advancement of the best interests of football" as Coach Tomey joins past winners Bobby Bowden, Bill Walsh, Tom Osborne, Bo Schembechler, Woody Hayes and Paul W. "Bear" Bryant.
We want to thank all of the alumni who returned to campus and shared their many great stories. Homecoming is always one of the biggest weekends of the year, and all of the Wildcats who attended made it a special and memorable time.
SOCCER HOME FINALE
Arizona Soccer has its regular season finale, and it's a big home match against Arizona State. The Wildcats have a record of 10-6-1, which has given Arizona a third consecutive season of ten wins or more for the first time in program history. Junior Jada Talley continues her excellent play as she is the first player in Arizona history to tally at least nine goals and eight assists in a season.
The Wildcats' match against the Sun Devils is set for 7 p.m. (MST) on Friday, Nov. 8 under the lights at Mulcahy Stadium. Our goal is to break the match attendance record of 1,302 as we fill the venue. You can get your tickets by

CATS OFF TO LPGA
It's an exciting time for three alumni of Arizona Women's Golf who finished in the top 45 of qualifying to earn LPGA status for next year. Lindsey Weaver ('16), Haley Moore ('19) and Bianca Pagdanganan ('19) are ready to Bear Down in the LPGA ranks. The trio of Wildcats have achieved something special as professional golfers on the biggest of stages. Congratulations to Lindsey, Haley and Bianca on accomplishing their dreams and making everyone who dons the Block A proud!

BEAR DOWN WITH COACH BARNES AND COMPANY
Arizona Women's Basketball
officially opened up the 2019-20 season with a win over North Dakota, and set a new attendance record for a home opener with 3,540 fans. The buzz around the program continues to grow since their thrilling run to a WNIT crown, and we have grown our season ticket base of loyal supporters. This year's team is one of the most exciting in the country, and we can't wait for another outstanding season. The Cats return to action with a Friday night match-up with Santa Clara at 6:30 p.m. (MST) inside McKale.
Get your tickets for the game, and we will see you there!
CONGRATS JULIA PATTERSON
Arizona Volleyball senior Julia Patterson earned national accolades in Arizona's match at Utah. With 46 assists, 13 digs and 10 kills, Julia became the first player in a Power 5 conference to record a triple double this season. It's another honor for Julia this season who earlier eclipsed 3,000 assists in her career.
Coach Rubio and the Wildcats are back in action in McKale Center this week, beginning with Thursday's match versus Cal at 7 p.m. (MST).

PAC-12 THE SHOW
Our entire athletics department wants to thank the Pac-12 Networks for spending time on campus for last week's "The Show". The live show travels to each of the Pac-12 Conference's campuses and highlights the many great things going on. The crew were joined by Arizona Football alumni Dennis Northcutt, Heath Bray and Rob Waldrop during the live pregame show overlooking our tailgating grounds.
This year, the Pac-12 Networks covered and broadcasted content on the Dick Tomey Practice Fields dedication ceremony, Dejah Mulipola's journey to Team USA for the 2020 Olympics, Aari McDonald of Women's Basketball, various Homecoming festivities on campus and much more.
The Pac-12 Networks does a great job of telling the many stories of our university, student-athletes, alumni, coaches and staff.
You can click here to see all of the great Arizona content from the networks' time on campus.
MBB GAME DAY TRAFFIC
We'd like to remind fans about a traffic change on men's basketball game days. To increase pedestrian safety, Fred Enke Drive will be closed to through traffic starting one hour before tip-off. Those with parking passes for spots along Fred Enke will be able to access their spaces while fans with Cherry Avenue Garage passes should use National Championship Drive from Sixth Street or Cherry Avenue to access the garage.
