JOIN US FOR THE FIRST WATCH RED-BLUE GAME
Friday marks our annual men's basketball tip off event with the First Watch Red-Blue Game at 7:30 p.m. (MST) inside McKale Center. Come get a glimpse of Coach Lloyd and the Wildcats on the hardwood for the first time this season. The night of festivities will include the slam dunk contest with some familiar faces as judges for the event before the team takes the court.
The First Watch Red-Blue Game is one of my favorite events of the year, and Friday night will be full of fun for everyone in attendance and those tuning in on the Pac-12 Network. This season-opening celebration is a sold-out game every year, and there are limited tickets remaining. You can click here to purchase your tickets today.

STUDENT-ATHLETE SPOTLIGHT
We continue to profile the outstanding student-athletes in our programs who live our Wildcat Way mission by becoming academic, athletic and life champions. One of our marquee student-athlete development programs is our annual internship with Nike at their campus in Beaverton, Oregon. Jaleesa Caroccio, a junior on our volleyball team, was the most recent student-athlete to spend her summer with Nike. You can read our ArizonaWildcats.com profile on Jaleesa and her one-of-a-kind experience as a Nike intern this summer.

ARIZONA CROSS COUNTRY HOME MEET
We'd like to wish our cross country student-athletes the best of luck in their home meet on Friday morning. The Dave Murray Invitational is our program's annual home meet, which is named after our iconic longtime head track and field coach. Our women's team just won the UC Riverside Invitational last week after both programs finished second at the George Kyte Invitational in Flagstaff to begin the season.
Friday's races begin with the women's 6k competition at 7 a.m. (MST) before the men's 8k race at Tucson Country Club. We can't wait to see the Wildcats Bear Down and represent the Block A as a point of pride on the course on Friday morning!
ARIZONA ATHLETICS ANNUAL REPORT
Our athletics department's Wildcat Way mission and strategic initiatives are at the core of who we are as Wildcats and our day-to-day operations. The 2021-22 year was another chapter of excellence in the history of Arizona Athletics. As part of our commitment to living the Wildcat Way and providing opportunities for our student-athletes to be academic, athletic and life champions, we have produced an annual report for our supporters to view that highlights our many achievements and accomplishments in 2021-22. Bear Down and Go Cats!

WILDCAT HEADLINES
WEAR THE COLORS – SHARE THE PHOTOS

Just had to share these photos of me and my two daughters at the Illinois game last year. Reagan age 12, Ella age 10, and me Eller College graduate of 02. We lost my husband, their Father (a UK Wildcat graduate), to cancer a year and a half before this photo. It was the first trip we took just the three of us only. Happiness was seeing our Wildcats play that day and win!!

Jim Meehan - class of 1976 winning the Hyannis Olympic Triathlon age group on September 10, 2022 in Hyannis Massachusetts. Meehan lives in Nantucket and is a Wildcat season ticket holder in football and basketball.Â
Send us your photos of you wearing the colors!
Thank you for wearing the colors and sharing your Arizona pride! Make sure to take a picture the next time you are wearing the colors and send it to us, we just might include it in next week's Wildcat Wednesday! And even if your photo submission doesn't make  next week's edition, please check our "Wear the Colors" album at
facebook.com/ArizonaAthletics on Fridays.
Â
NOTE: Please submit photos for Wildcat Wednesday with an original email to
uofaad@arizona.edu using the subject line
'Wildcat Wednesday photo.' Also, please ensure all submissions are clear and properly lit. We also ask that you identify everyone in the photo so we can highlight them accordingly.
