2016 (XC): Tecle competed in two events throughout the 2016 campaign and managed to place in the top-21 in both events. Tecle took 19th overall at the Dave Murray Invitational and followed that up with a 21st-place finish at the ASU Invitational.

2016: Indoors, Tecle competed in the 800-meter and mile race last season. In the 800-meter, he posted his career best time at the Don Kirby Invite with a mark of 1:55.41. His highest finish came at the Lumberjack Team Challenge, where he posted a time of 1:56.75, good enough for fourth-place. He set his personal best in the mile at the MPSF Championships, where he clocked in at 4:24.25. Additionally, he was apart of the distance medley relay team that took ninth at the MPSF Championships with a time of 10:10.77 … Outdoors, Tecle competed in the 1,500-meter race, placing in the top-10 twice. His highest finish came at Willie Williams, where he posted a time of 3:58.90 for a personal best and placed third. His other top-10 finish came at the Jim Click Shootout, where he came in ninth with a time of 4:00.12. Tecle also ran in the 800-meter race at the ASU Duel in the Desert. There, he posted a personal best mark of 1:54.48, good enough for fourth-place.

2015 (XC): Placed 20th overall at the ASU Invitational with a time of 22:26.40 in the four-mile race… Took 38th at the George Kyte Classic with a time of 24:57.30 in the 4.5-mile race.
