2017
Indoors: Did not compete in the indoor season …
Outdoors: Competed in six javelin throw events, finishing in first place in four of those outings … Set a career mark of 223-5 at the Jim Click Shootout to earn first place honors … Tabbed a first place finish at the Willie Williams Classic with a 217-1 mark … Earned first place honors at the TCU Big 5 Classic with a 213-6 mark … finished in first at the Duel in the Desert … 
2016: Did not compete in indoors, Mensendiek competed in the javelin in four meets in the 2016 outdoor campaign and placed in the top-10 in three of them. His highest place came at the Jim Click Shootout where he dominated the field and threw a 195 ft. - 10 in. (59.69m), good enough for first-place. His best throw of the season came at the ASU Invitational, where he came in seventh with a toss of 198 ft. - 5 in. (60.47m).

2015: Redshirted during the indoor season … Outdoors, Mensendiek competed in the decathlon at the Jim Click Shootout and finished in fourth place with a score of 6,058 points … Took first place in the javelin throw with a personal-best toss of 201-3 (61.34m) at the Willie Williams Classic … Earned a second-place finish in the javelin throw at the Arizona-ASU Dual meet with a mark of 188-10 (57.55m).

Personal: He is the son of Barbi & John Mensendiek … He has one sister Caroline (Oregon 2014) and one brother Thomas (Colorado 2016) ... His major is engineering.
