Was four-year letterwinner under head coach Eric Stone at Metamora Township High School in Metamora, Ill…made all-state teams as a first baseman on two separate occasions…was named 2013 Peoria Area Player of the Year and placed in the top-10 at the International Power Showcase Home Run Derby…played football his freshman season at Metamora Township High School. Played OL/TE that season and got looks from Division I schools…was a four-year honor roll student.

Personal
Graduated Metamora Township High School in Metamora, Ill., in 2015….born in Brisbane, Queensland, Australia…son of Tony and Christine Johnson…has one older sister, Melissa…father Tony played football at the University of Illinois from 1984-88…loves fishing, muscle cars/trucks, spending time outdoors, going to the movies, and golf…attended his first baseball game at Hi Corbett Field (current home of the Wildcats) when he was little. Grandfather was a security guard for the Colorado Rockies during Spring Training and Trent was the bat boy for one game…his major is currently undecided.

Why Arizona?
“I chose to come to the University of Arizona because it’s a great place to develop myself not only as a baseball player, but a person. The program has a rich tradition of winning and the weather is fantastic.”
