Track Cats Host Jim Click Shootout Today

TUCSON, Ariz. – Arizona's track and field team will continue their 2017 outdoor season this weekend at home for the Jim Click Shootout at Roy P. Drachman Stadium. Multi events took place on Thursday and Friday, April 6-7 with the rest of the events coming on Saturday. The Wildcats were represented in the decathlon by Dion Shattuck-Baker, who scored 6,699 points to finish second.

Sage Watson: Watson will finally be competing in the 400-meter hurdles this weekend. This is Watson's best event, as she took home first-team All-America honors last year and qualified to compete in the Olympics for her native country Canada.
Aaron Castle: The senior will be out competing in the shot put again this Saturday and will be looking to improve on his career outdoor best mark of 19.03 meters (62' 5.25"). Castle has managed to stay in the top-eight in the NCAA all season long.
Justice Summerset: Summerset finally competed in the high jump this outdoor season and didn't disappoint. The freshman phenom from Tucson was able to claim first-place at the Stanford Invitational with a top-15 mark in the country at 2.16 meters (7'1"). He looks to improve upon that mark this weekend at home.
Myles Hawkins: Along with Summerset, Hawkins also shined at the Stanford Invitational, putting up a personal best mark in the long jump at 7.51 meters (24' 7.75") for second-place. That mark is currently top-25 in the country.
