2016: Indoor: Whitehead performed in two pole vault events during the 2016 indoor campaign. She placed seventh at the Lumberjack team Challenge with a mark of 11 ft. - 1.75 in. (3.39m) and set her personal best at the Don Kirby Invite where she placed 17th with a mark of 12 ft. - 4.5 in. (3.77m) … Outdoors, Whitehead competed in the pole vault in a total of five meets where she placed in the top-3 in four of the five events he participated in. She took first at the Jim Click Shootout with a mark of 11 ft. - 6.5 in. (3.51m) Additionally, she took second place at the Jim Bush Invite with a mark of 12 ft. - 8 in. (3.86m).
2015: Indoors, competed in the pole vault in five events during the spring season … Set a personal best at the MPSF Championships with a mark of 12-0.5 (3.67m), good for 16th place … Took first place at the Mountain T’s Invite with a mark of 11-11.75 (3.65m) … Outdoors, competed in the pole vault in five events during the outdoor season … Set a big personal best at the Arizona-ASU Dual meet with a clearance of 12-10.25 (3.91m), good for a first-place finish … Took ninth place at the Pac-12 Championships with a mark of 12-0.5 (3.67m) … Earned a second-place finish at the Jim Click Shootout with a clearance of 12-5.5 (3.79m) … Finished in second place at the Willie Williams Classic with a mark of 11-11.75 (3.65m).
2014: Indoors, Whitehead’s personal-best clearance of 12-0.5 (3.67m) in the pole vault came at the Mountain T’s Invitational … At the MPSF Championships, Whitehead tied for 20th place with a clearance of 12-0 (3.65m) … Outdoors, at the Pepsi Oregon Dual, Whitehead cleared 11-9.75 (3.60m) … She missed most of the outdoor season due to injury.
HIGH SCHOOL: A graduate of Marcos De Niza, Whitehead was the team captain her senior year as well as the team MVP for her junior and senior years … She earned first-team all-state honors as a senior and second-team all-state accolades as a sophomore and junior … She was the 2013 Arizona State Champion in the pole vault and holds the school record with a clearance of 12-7 … At the 2011 and 2012 Arizona State Championships, Whithead earned runner-up finishes in the pole vault.
PERSONAL: She is the daughter of Cindy and Bruce Whitehead and was born in Glendale, Ariz. … She has a brother, Dylan … She is pursuing a degree in retail and consumer science … She aspires to become a fashion designer and own her own clothing store.
