Our athletics department is excited to host a Name, Image and Likeness Open House for our Southern Arizona business community and student-athletes. NIL is a transformative enhancement to our Wildcat Way student-athlete experience. Since it was enacted in July of 2021, I've been a steadfast supporter of Wildcat student-athletes utilizing their name, image and likeness for profit and to elevate their experience while on campus.

Arizona's first-ever NIL Open House, scheduled for 6 p.m. (MST) on Tuesday, April 18, is the latest example of our athletics department leading from the front in this emerging space. This in-person event will be a tremendous opportunity for networking, education and more inside the Jim Click Hall of Champions. The event's programming will also include a "How To" on getting involved with NIL opportunities, a panel discussion with current student-athletes on their unique value, highlights of their NIL engagements to date as well as a conversation with local businesses already engaged in NIL activities to share their success stories and best practices.

HISTORIC MEN'S TENNIS SWEEP

Hats off to Arizona Men's Tennis for another victorious weekend against USC and UCLA. Coach Shields and the Wildcats swept the Los Angeles schools for a second time in three years in front of tremendous crowds at the Robson Tennis Center. Prior to the program's two most recent sweeps of the Trojans and Bruins, we had beaten those schools only twice in the previous 57 matches.

This recent success against UCLA and USC is just another accomplishment in the program's ascension to becoming one of the top programs in the country. Arizona Men's Tennis reached the Sweet 16 for the first time in 2021 and won the program's first ever Pac-12 Championship in 2022.

The Wildcats' season of excellence continues with more home matches this week, and we can't wait to see you on campus cheering on the team. The next match will be at 3 p.m. (MST) on Friday, April 7 at the Robson Tennis Center. Admission is free for all home tennis matches, so please join us and Bear Down.

BEAR DOWN SARAH BLACKER

We want to congratulate Arizona Beach Volleyball senior Sarah Blacker on an important milestone achieved over the weekend. Sarah became the all-time winningest player in program history with the 87th victory of her illustrious career. This outstanding accomplishment is a testament to the quality of program built by head coach Steve Walker. Sarah and the other tremendous student-athletes from Arizona Beach Volleyball live the Wildcat Way each and every day by becoming academic, athletic and life champions.

• Baseball is up against Washington this weekend in a three-game series! Join us Thursday, April 6th at 6:00 PM, Friday, March 7th at 6:00 PM, and Saturday, April 8th at 12:00 PM. Saturday will also have a kids scavenger hunt post-game! Click here to purchase tickets!

• Women's Tennis faces off against UCLA this Friday, April 7th at 12:00 PM. They will also have a match against USC on Saturday, April 8th, at 12:00 PM. Admission is free!

• Men's Tennis vs. Oregon will be on Friday, April 7th at 3:00 PM and their match against Washington will be on Sunday, April 9th, at 12:00 PM. Admission is free! 

CATS' WINS 

• Arizona Softball swept Day One of Bear Down Fiesta, beating Georgetown 15 - 7 and San Diego 6 - 0. They then run-ruled San Diego 10 - 0 and Georgetown 12 - 4 on Day 2. 

• Beach Volleyball swept Missouri State 5 – 0 and Santa Clara 4 - 1 

• Men's Basketball's Azuolas Tubelis named to Wooden Award All American Team

• Men's Swimming and Diving Earns Five CSCAA All-American Honors

• Men's Tennis Player Jonas Ziverts Nets Another Pac-12 Player of the Week

WILDCAT HEADLINES 

• The Gronkowski brothers are the honorary coaches for Arizona Football's Spring Game. Alongside them, Antoine Cason and Chris McAlister will join in as Honorary Defensive Coordinators. The game will be held on April 15th at 3:30 PM, so click here to claim your free tickets!
