2015: Redshirted during the indoor season … Outdoors, Willis took seventh place in the 800-meter race at the Willie Williams Classic with a time of 1:57.59 … He set a personal best in the 1,500-meter race at the Pac-12 Championships by clocking a time of 3:49.45, good for a 15th-place finish … Ran the 1,500 meters in 3:50.35 at the Mt. SAC Relays and finished in 12th place … Took fourth at the Arizona-ASU Dual meet in the 1,500-meter race with a time of 3:54.31 … Earned one more top-five finish in the 1,500-meter race at the Jim Click Shootout by clocking a time of 3:56.05.
2014: Indoors, Willis’ personal-best time of 4:12.15 came in the mile at the MPSF Championships, good for 19th place overall … He also ran the mile at the UW Invitational and Husky Classic … Outdoors, Willis ran his personal best in the 800 meters at the UA-ASU-NAU Double Dual, 1:57.04 … In the 1,500-meter race, Willis clocked a personal-best time of 3:49.51 at the UA-ASU-NAU Double Dual, good for fifth place overall … He ran in the preliminary round of the event at the Pac-12 Championships, posting a time of 3:54.12 and taking 17th place.
2013 (XC): Willis ran in three meets for the UA men, highlighted by his fifth-place finish overall with a time of 25:38.4 at the Thunderbird Classic 8K.
BEFORE ARIZONA: Willis attended the University of Montana in 2011 and 2012 … He redshirted the 2011 year … In 2012, he clocked a time of 4:10 in the mile … For cross country, he ran an 8K in 25:30.
HIGH SCHOOL: A graduate of Canyon High School, Willis was the team captain for the 2010-11 campaign … He was CIF qualifier in 2010 and 2011 for track and cross country.
PERSONAL: He is the son of Dorian and Lance Willis and was born in Seattle, Wash. … He has a sister, Lauren Willis … He is pursuing a degree in information science.
