2015-16: Swam season-highs in the 100 breast (55.33) and 200 breast (1:59.89) against ASU…Finished sixth in the 200 breast versus No. 1 Texas with 2:07.09…Placed third in the 200 breast (2:06.06) and fourth in the 100 breast (57.96) in the season-opener against UNLV…At the Texas Invitational, took seventh in the B final of the 100 breast with 56.72 and eighth in the B final of the 200 breast with 2:01.70.

High School: A three-time letterwinner in the breast at Chaparral High School…Was named senior team captain…Made the All-City and All-State teams his junior and senior year…Was named a NISCA and USA Swimming Scholastic All-American…Holds the school record in the 100 breast (56.48)…Was a state champion in the 200 medley relay in 2014 and 2015 while also holding the state record in the event.

Personal: Born Marcello Vincenzo Quarante in April of 1997 to Dino and Gladys Quarante…Has an older sister, Gabby and a younger brother, Nicolo…Undecided in his field of study…Likes to listen to music in his free time…Chose Arizona over Ohio State, Auburn University, Alabama, Duke, TCU and SMU because of the combination of great academics and athletics.
